Through out my time on the Rockin Worship roadshow with Mercy me and a few other one offs this past month, I was able to meet soooo many girls with great style that had so much personality! I thought it would be nice to share some pics I took with all of you… Thank you to all the girls who participated! Remember ladies, though we at times may not feel it, we are BEAUTIFUL just the way we are, and I’m sure we can find quite a few people that would agree with me. :-) Enjoy!
Not too long ago I got a chance to hang out with my friend Sarah Bernardo in NYC. Sarah is an amazing stylist who is constantly consulting me on new looks for the stage. Something that she is really really good at is consignment store shopping! I kid you not, every time that girl goes out to some of her favorite consignment shops, she always comes back with loads of incredible one of a kind finds that all together cost less than a new outfit from forever 21!! (That’s impressive) So this last visit I had to NYC I asked her to let me tag a long!
It’s been long over due but meet my fashion fan #2, Porscha! I had the pleasure of meeting her at our show in Jacksonville, FL a week ago! I’ve done this once before in the past where I’ve picked a girl from our signing line to feature on Blanca’s boutique, due to their awesome fashion style. There are always so many girls I meet at our shows that have such incredible fashion and above all amazing hearts for the Lord. I hope to inspire you girls as much as you have inspired me!
So one of my favorite things of this summer is the Wedge! Why, do you ask? 3 reasons: ready set go!
1. They are so comfortable!! I can literally go hours with a wedged shoe compared to a stiletto or pump where after 30 minutes my foot is in complete agony!! Lol
2. As a performer, it’s always difficult to find a shoe to wear on stage that looks cute and is also functional! I personally always revert back to sneakers or boots but now with the wedge I feel like I can wear a “heel” That’s girly and cute but still give my performance 100%!!
So I know this might be sad to some of you but I haven’t owned a Jean jacket till about 2 weeks ago! WOW, what a fun item of clothing to have… I’ve found myself wearing different outfits that I’ve had in my closet but have tossed to the side over the years because I felt that they were missing something that would complete them. This new jean jacket does just that.
So, earlier this week, i received an email from one of my good friends Ricky, and the email contained a letter in it. His church in California had just finished up their Women's conference and the letter was a testimony from one of the leader's who had been in attendance. Apparently one of the songs the worship team had been doing through out the weekend was Beautiful by Group one crew, so Ricky wanted to show us how our music was making an impact.
One thing that I think is so awesome about being a girl is the ability to wear our hair soooo many different ways. We can grow it long or cut it short. We can die it red, blonde, black, blue, orange, purple, brown, whatever our hearts desire! We can style it up, wear it down or throw it up in a pony tail, and 9 times out of 10 the change looks amazing!!
It's crazy how important a woman's purse is to her! There are so many necessary things that we carry around in that big ol' bag that misplacing it or losing it can literally cause us to have a nervous break down! lol I'm always so curious to know what others girls carry in their purse, wondering if it feels like they're carrying a ton of bricks in it or if that's just mine;-) Either way, I thought I would give you guys a sneak peak of what I carry in mine.
As some of you may already know, Group 1 Crew had the privilege of attending the 42nd Annual Dove Awards this past week. It was such an incredible experience for me because I not only got to be surrounded by amazing and super talented musicians but I also got to share this experience with some of the people that mean the most to me! My incredible husband, Benjamin Callahan, who was there supporting me every second and my best friends Zulenia Ortiz (makeup artist) Jashua Villatoro (Hair stylist/stylist) and Sarah Bernardo (fashion consultant)
