ENGAGED!!
Engaged!
So i know this blog is long over due but for all of those who didn't hear, I'M ENGAGED!! This is one of the most exciting times in my life because not only am i engaged to one of the coolest guys ever, I'm getting to plan my wedding as well!! (Every girls dream!! lol) In the midst of all the excitement and joy i learned a very valuable lesson that i wanted to share with all of you... that is: Wait on God, he always comes through.
prior to my relationship with my fiance' , i found myself insecure and doubting if i i would ever find "the one." i was always settling for certain relationships that i knew weren't going to go anywhere but for the sake of not being alone, i convinced myself that they were worth a shot. What i failed to consider was that God knows me better than anyone else does, and my timing isn't always best though it feels like it is in the moment. Because of my decision to try and figure it out on my own and merely act like God was included, I ended up leaving myself more hurt and confused then before!
Looking back now, i realize that i was consumed with wanting to be in a relationship. i wanted to be LOVED and APPRECIATED sooo much, that i didn't care what the cost was. i wanted it to be PERFECT... but you can't get that by forcing things to work or by convincing yourself that things are ok when you know they're not. The minute i TRULY decided to let go and trust God, was the moment I finally felt peace about what my future had in store. Literally a few months later, i met Ben, and from the first time i saw him i knew he was it!
So let this be an encouragement to all who read this, Don't lose hope, the Lord always has you covered;)

I am the way you were before you chose to wait on God...worrying about everything! I too want things to be perfect and I'm getting kind of impatient and my attitude isn't right with my family because I have become dissatified with waiting. After I read your blog it brought me to tears because God keeps telling me to trust Him. It seems like the hardest thing to do right now because everyone seems to be succeeding at life and I'm so stuck. But just to know how God came through for you once you let go let's me know that He can and will do the same for me.I wish you and your husband all the best. wow !! i just love everything you wrote although im only 16 I have had so much trouble in trying to fulfill myself with kindness of boys and they always ended up failing me. I have learned that God never fails us and He has loved me this whole time no matter what I have done or pushed him away. I pray that if God has a guy for me the man will love God as much as I am learning to. Until then I pray to leave myself in the hands of God and let him take over our very own relationship to grow deeper and stronger. oooo and before i end i want to congragulate you on your marriage. i actually just read your blog LOL so God Bless and I want you to know that you are a spiritual inspiration to teenage girls like me who need some sort of spiritual strong woman like you to remind us that God has Great plans for us all.

Hey, that's so cool. I'm sure you are feeling ecstatic and actually over the moon. There are many things that would be going on in your mind regarding the wedding planning. So do not forget to use the services of a professional wedding photographer. Maybe he can be your best man :)

Well, might I say that I totally agree with what you said, I was the same way, I ended up in a relationship that was unhealthy because I was very insecure and felt like I needed someone so I can feel okay. When I finally let go of this relationship, the Lord was finally able to deal with the things that were in me personally that I needed to be delivered from, and He isn't done yet. But during this time He has told me the person I am supposed to be with and I will be with eventually, and He has told this person, and waiting on His timing has been so much better than ever imagined, because we are both letting the Lord do a work in us individually where we are in our lives right now, yet trusting God that when it is time it will be in His timing not ours. So this is very true Blanca.. and congrats again, I know I already told you.
