THE GYM EXPERIENCE

So I went to the gym with Kathy last night…..yes I go to the gym, and we decided to do cardio for 25 minutes. Luckily for me the treadmill section sits aaaallll the way in the back of the gym. I jump on, set my time and speed, pop in my headphones and press start. Forced to stare at the rest of the gym in front of me I couldn’t help but to notice the different ages, sizes, and personalities.

What caught my attention was how a 5’11, about 200lb, 32yr. old man across the room was bench-pressing 90lbs, and the person spotting him was a smaller guy around the same age, but about 5’6 and 150lbs who could lift 190lbs easily.

The first guy, way larger in size was having a hard time lifting 90lbs, while the other guy half his size could lift double the amount.

That’s when my thoughts began to jog along with me. The world is full of similar illustrations. Maybe you’re the person who’s just beginning to chase a dream when you know you should be farther along, or maybe you’re the one who’s been chasing the dream for a while now and have the muscles (the fruit) to show for.

Regardless of which person you can relate to, what’s important is that you’re in the GYM!!

In order to lift the big stuff. You have to start with the small stuff. In order to reach a big dream you have to begin taking small steps towards it. With passion, hard work and dedication eventually you will turn into the one helping others chase their dreams. Just don’t be the person who hasn’t signed up to the gym yet!!!
